Witney Carson and her husband, Carson McAllister, are preparing to welcome another baby boy. The “Dancing with the Stars” professional shared the news on Sept. 21, but her sons Leo and Jet added an unexpected twist to the family’s gender reveal.
On Monday, Sept. 21, Carson, 32, announced that Baby McAllister No. 3 would be a boy through an Instagram Reels post with McAllister.
“Baby McAllister number 3 is a….. 💙💙💙💙💙 🥹🥹🥹🥹,” she wrote in the caption.
She added, “We couldn’t be happier or feel more blessed with all these boys. I love being a boy mom. My greatest honor in life is to raise them.”
The announcement means Carson and McAllister will soon have three sons. Their older children, Leo, 5, and Jet, 3, played a central role in sharing the news.
Leo and Jet Add Some Confusion

The family gathered on a dock for the reveal, with Carson and McAllister standing with their backs toward the camera. Leo and Jet stood near a basket containing two flower bouquets, one pink and one blue.
After pulling a note from the basket, the boys reacted with excitement. Leo quickly covered Jet’s mouth to keep the secret before picking up the blue bouquet and carrying it toward his parents.
Jet then copied his older brother but chose the pink bouquet instead. The mix-up briefly left Carson and McAllister confused.
The couple soon read the note and discovered the answer: another boy. The family then shared hugs and posed for photos during the celebration.
Several of Carson’s “Dancing with the Stars” colleagues also congratulated her. Robert Irwin, Julianne Hough, Sasha Farber, and Peta Murgatroyd were among those who commented on the announcement.
Carson also posted a behind-the-scenes clip on her Instagram Stories. The video showed her longtime friend and “Dancing with the Stars” co-host Alfonso Ribeiro helping reveal the baby’s sex during a rehearsal with Carson, McAllister, their children, and her castmates.
Carson explained that she and her sons already knew the result before the rehearsal reveal.
“Just [a] PSA me and the boys knew before this but it was so fun to get to reveal it to everyone in this way,” she wrote over the clip.
Carson Opens Up About Her Pregnancy
Carson announced her third pregnancy on “Good Morning America” in mid-August. She later told PEOPLE that she felt “so incredibly grateful” to become a mother again.
“My family is growing. We’re so blessed to keep growing our family,” she said. “I can’t wait to become a family of five.”

She also described her first trimester as difficult because of persistent nausea. Carson said she was in “pure survival mode” and tried to eat regularly while resting whenever possible.
With two young children at home, rest was not always easy. She credited McAllister for helping care for the family and giving her time to recover.
Carson also addressed her plans for “Dancing with the Stars.” She said she wanted to continue competing as long as she and the baby remained healthy.
“I love both,” she said. “And so if I can do both, then that’s what I want to do.”
Season 35 of “Dancing with the Stars” began with a two-night premiere on Sept. 15 and Sept. 16. New episodes air Tuesdays on ABC and Disney+.
